Employer Tuition Assistance
Staff training is a significant investment for a company, and more and more companies are beginning to offer tuition reimbursement for their employees. Here’s what to do if you think you may be eligible:
- Ask your employer if there is a company training program or the option to reimburse expenses for training.
- Send your approved Purchase Order (PDF) to marketing@desktopmedia-training.com, ATTN: registration.
- If you do not have a company voucher or PO document, we can also invoice your company if you are able to provide the following info:
- Authorizing manager
- Purchase Order or reference number
- Billing contact - Send the above info to marketing@desktopmedia-training.com and we can issue an invoice and get you enrolled.

Credit Card Payments are processed utilizing Google Checkout.
Grants
DesktopMedia has successfully advocated for many clients by working with them on training grant applications. Many states offer companies funding for incumbent worker training. check with either your department of workforce development or economic development to see if your company qualifies for training dollars. We will be happy to assist you with your grant application.
Indiana: the IEDC, or Indiana Economic Development Corporation, administers the SEF fund, a federal fund of training dollars for qualified Indiana companies.
Ohio: the OWG, or Ohio Workforce Guarantee Program is one of the few programs in Ohio that provides direct financial support to employers for training.
Kentucky: the Office of Employment and Training, offers several options to assist businesses with incumbent worker training.
Tennessee: via the Department of Economic & Community Development offers the Tennessee Job Skills program to assist companies with their training initiatives.
Alabama: The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs administers the Incumbent Worker Training Program, designed to provide funding assistance to qualifying Alabama for-profit companies to provide skills training to full-time, permanent company workers.
